I’ve been on the orange river twice for 5 days at time, and every time we have to head home I cry like a baby. The scenery, guides, animals, nature, spirit, food and company, always provides 5 days of absolute bliss, laughter, relaxation, and fun! The morning river bathing while the sun is rising over the great Richtersveld gorges, is like a new birth every day! Okay, I can go on forever, but the friends I’ve made on these majestic trips, will be life-long, and the memories will always make me go back for more! Just DO IT!! Karmen Klopper

I have been on 4 safari trails and 1 river trail with Hennie & phil of umkulu. It was absolutely fantastic and i can recommend these men . They are a liittle too much in the bush , but when it comes to adventure trails they know how to make it nice for people visiting - and the food is the best.

The team building down the river was such a huge success, it built amazing team spirit, it was great fun, and still the topic of all conversations at the office! Even the people who didn’t want to go on the river came to me to say how they regret not going! Thank you to you guys for bearing with the moaners, and the panic stricken at one point on the river, in your true Umkulu ways! You guys rock!! The CEO kept repeating how perfect the venue was!
